Queer Croydon is taking over BOXPARK for Pride

Join Queer Croydon for a Pride Party Croydon-style with a special takeover of BOXPARK Croydon!

You know by now that we at Queer Croydon are out to celebrate Pride, showcase the energy and vibrancy of Croydon’s Queer community, and take our space as Queer people! This incredible party is going to see the main stage area at Boxpark TRANSFORMED with stunning performances from local DJs and artists.

Their Majesties hosts Asifa Lahore & Shepherd’s Bush will be hosting as well performing! Joining them on the stage will be Drag Artists, Pole Dancers, Burlesque Performers, and more! Believe us when we tell you – you are not ready for all this Queer talent!

The line up includes:

Asifa Lahore
Asifa Lahore is a performer known as Britain’s First Out Muslim Drag Queen and LGBT+ activist. Having been featured on stages, TV shows, in journals and countless publications across the world, Asifa is a voice for intersectional rights, and a Gaysian superstar! Come spice up your life.

Shepherd’s Bush
Shepherd’s Bush is a Drag Sheep exploring what it means to be human and all of the quirks and eccentricities that go with it. Call Shepherd’s your mutton dressed like lamb guide to understanding the human experience, with a dose of humour and silliness all jumbled together to create the most special brand of chaos.

Amit Chadda
Amit Chadda (he/him) is a singer-songwriter and performer from Croydon. Described as ‘folk-soul’, Amit’s music fuses intimate, acoustic guitar and piano arrangements with soulful vocals. Through his songs, he shares his journey of self-discovery and identity as a queer, British Indian and tells stories of love, loss and hope.

Mary Jane Holland
Mary Jane Holland is about to become your Cinephiliac moment. Referred to as the Vicky Pollard of Drag, Mary Jane Holland is a South London based Drag artist who fuses Pop Culture with Comedy to create what is known as ‘Bastard Drag’.

Mel Anin
Introducing Mel Anin – the South London baddie who will have you on the edge of your seat! They effortlessly blend their love for the dark side with a reference of black culture. Performing across many venues in the UK such as London, Brighton, and Reading, she’s ready to bring the magic to the her home – Croydon! So whether you’ve been under Mel’s spell before or you’re new – buckle up and get ready to be Melanated!

Merlin the Grey
Merlin is an out and proud bisexual trans man, who started his boylesque journey back in March, and loves nothing more than titillating his audience with his alternative looks and heavy rock music to support him! He wears his surgery scars with pride and wants to celebrate what trans bodies look like – curvy boys are just as sexy!

Sabiyha
South London-based artist Sabiyha is putting humanity to the forefront of their music as they explore the most vulnerable and empowering parts of themselves, weaving reality through their music, and taking a firm stance on standing strong with their LGBTQIA+ community.  Their previous work has gathered support from the likes of Gay Times, The Guardian, Gal-Dem, The Line Of Best Fit, Nadine Shah, Jess Iszatt, and BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders.

Sateva
Next Drag Superstar alumni “Sateva Eva Marchelle” She’s a Croydon native! And is ready to tear up the stage with her unmissable dancing and stunts!

Ula Lah
Ula Lah. slang, an exclamation of surprise, admiration or excitement.

1st runner up of Not Another Drag Competition (2022) Ula Lah is the sultry and stupid auburn beauty with recent performances at Pride in London, Birmingham Pride and the West End’s Lyric Theatre.

Neo 10Y
NEO 10Y is a genre expansive pop star from London. Their purpose is to help manifest a protopian dimension of peace through the expansion of love energy. NEO 10Y’s music and videos have been featured by Billboard, Rolling Stone, Paper, BBC, The Evening Standard, GQ, them, Interview, Channel 4 and more, plus major Spotify, Apple and TiDAL playlists.

Purrsia Kitt
Purrsia Kitt is an award nominated, neurodivergent, queer, international burlesque artiste, producer, model and published writer. With her dangerously divine stage presence and sultry feline energy, Purrsia will leave you hypnotized. She is undoubtedly the Kinky Feline Goddess of Burlesque.

Rolo Chick
Rolo Chick is a Queer pole dancer from Croydon. She performs and teaches in London and loves everything pink and sweet.

Lyvonne The Don
Lyvonne The Don (she/her) is a multigenre DJ, presenter & natural born entertainer. Her speciality? Curating an unforgettable musical experience. She mixes deep cuts & chart toppers from various genres (Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Dancehall, Soca, Reggaeton & more).

Her crowd control, infectious energy and insane vibes result in unique sets with plenty of screw facing, gun fingers & closed-eye body swaying. She loves introducing people to new sounds & leaving them with new core memories, to last a lifetime.

She has played at BOXPARK, taken over G-Shock Radio, had a guest mix featured on Ellie Prohan’s Kiss FM show & recently launched her event ‘Dance With The Don’. Catch her if you can! 

Ben Nizan
A Croydon based DJ with a taste for chunky and bright Drum & Bass with wonky synths. He mixes dancefloor bangers with rocky guitar riffs, loves a campy vocal and filthy basslines that want to eat you. His sets are bouncy, uplifting, fun to dance to and perfect for a party. From Croydon FM to Boxpark Croydon, prepare yourselves for a PARTY!

Expect pop, house, all the Pride classics and a few surprises – these DJs have all the hits up their beautifully sequinned sleeves!
